Anfield paid its respects on the eve of the 37th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy.

At the Champions League fixture against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, a period of silence was observed before kick-off and players wore black armbands.

A mosaic was also formed on the Kop in memory of the 97 supporters who were unlawfully killed in the disaster that occurred at the FA Cup semi-final between the Reds and Nottingham Forest on April 15, 1989.

Further commemorations will take place across the club on Wednesday, 37 years to the day of the tragedy.
