Aurélie Csillag scored a brace as seven Liverpool players were involved in Women’s World Cup qualifying matches on Tuesday.

Switzerland forward Csillag was on target twice in the second half to help her country to a 3-1 home win against Turkiye.

In Wrexham, Gemma Evans and Lily Woodham were both in the Wales XI for a 4-0 victory over Albania – and the latter assisted one of the goals.

Elsewhere, Denise O’Sullivan featured in the whole game for the Republic of Ireland as they beat Poland 3-2 in Gdansk. On-loan Leanne Kiernan was an unused substitute.

Jenna Clark and Kirsty Maclean represented Scotland for 90 and 63 minutes respectively in a 1-1 draw versus Belgium in Edinburgh.

Goalkeeper Jennifer Falk played all of Sweden’s 2-1 defeat at home to Denmark, with Beata Olsson on the bench.
