Welcome Reds uses the reach and appeal of LFC to engage isolated fans to reduce social isolation and increase ED&I knowledge.

Funded by LFC Foundation, the aim of Welcome Reds is to engage Liverpool FC supporters—particularly older fans or those living with memory related conditions through a nostalgic journey into the Club’s illustrious past.

Designed to be delivered in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, the sessions give attendees the opportunity to reconnect with treasured moments from Liverpool’s rich footballing heritage.

Working with Emma Case, daughter of LFC legend Jimmy Case, the founder of The Red Archive, we have designed monthly sessions to feature rarely seen archival footage to bring to life unforgettable moments in LFC’s history—from legendary European nights at Anfield to iconic goals and historic victories. These visual memories are carefully selected to spark conversation, joy, and connection, helping to reignite personal memories and foster a strong sense of community among attendees.

Each session is made even more special with the presence of former Liverpool players, who participate in live Q&A sessions, sharing first-hand insights, stories, and experiences from their time at the Club. These interactions create a personal and meaningful connection, encouraging engagement and building lasting memories.

Welcome Reds not only celebrates the legacy of Liverpool Football Club but also promotes wellbeing, social inclusion, and mental stimulation among its participants. By combining sport, memory, and community, the programme provides a powerful reminder of the enduring role that football can play in people’s lives. It is a celebration of the past, delivered with care, passion, and the true spirit of our LFC family.
