Promoting an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics!
The demand for jobs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) has increased significantly over the past decade. However, there is a growing gap between the skills that young people are learning and the skills that the job market requires.
A STEM education will teach children how to program, code, and understand technological devices. Our STEM programme will aim to remove barriers that prevent young people from pursuing careers in technology, engineering, and innovation. We hope to inspire the next generation of engineers, innovators, and tech entrepreneurs by introducing them to the possibilities of a career in STEM.
We have developed a 6-week program that covers various aspects of STEM for KS1, KS2 and KS3 pupils.
Each week, our STEM Coordinator will deliver a classroom-based activity. At the end of each session, participants will have a chance to discuss and reflect on what they learned and build on their knowledge as the programme progresses.
Our program is built around a range of exciting and educational resources, such as Sphero Bolt robots, which introduce young people to coding through various adaptable tasks.
