The session was delivered by Crimestoppers and focused on their Fearless campaign — a dedicated youth service aimed at empowering young people aged 11–16 to speak up about crime safely and anonymously.

The Fearless initiative plays a crucial role in raising awareness about the risks associated with street crime, drugs, and violence. It also seeks to dismantle the stigma surrounding the so-called “no grass culture” by providing young people with the confidence and tools to report concerns without fear of retaliation.

During the session, the Foundation staff were given an in-depth overview of the campaign’s objectives and resources whilst being equipped with practical strategies to engage young people in meaningful conversations about crime and safety.

Our Youth Interventions team explored real-life scenarios that young people may encounter, helping them to better understand the pressures and fears that young people across Liverpool City Region face on a regular basis.

By participating in this training, the Youth Interventions team has strengthened its ability to support and reassure young people across our communities. The insights gained will be instrumental in continuing our work to create safer environments and promote a culture where young voices are heard and protected.
