LFC FoundationTash Dowie motivates future stars at LFC Girls Academy training sessions
This week, the LFC Foundation was thrilled to welcome LFC Women's ambassador Tash Dowie to our U12 and U14 Girls Academy sessions
Tash spent time with the Foundation’s multi-disciplinary teams and engaged directly with players across both age groups, sharing her experiences and providing invaluable technical advice. Having proudly represented both Club and country, she was able to provide the girls with insight in to the small details that helped her raise her game and to become the best version of herself on and off the pitch.
The girl's learned how Tash navigated the challenges and triumphs of elite football including he importance of discipline, resilience, and continuous improvement.
Exposure to current and former players is a cornerstone of LFC Foundation's approach to providing young athletes with a real-world perspective on what lies ahead as it helps them to appreciate the dedication required to reach the top.
The U12 and U14 squads are integral to empowering the women's game and providing us with stars of the future.
The Foundation's U12 group currently includes 14 squad players who have taken part in 15 fixtures so far this season, engaging a total of 221 players engaged
Meanwhile, the U14 squad comprises a full 23 players competing in the Junior Premier League, with several already gaining exposure to the U16 Pro Game Academy and being highlighted on the FA Future Talent Identification Matrix.
As the experience's of the young footballers in the Girls Academy continues to grow, we remain committed to delivering experiences that inspire and empower the next generation of female footballers.
