It's been a busy period for the team delivering Premier League Primary Stars at the LFC Foundation. Here's what we have been up to...

To mark World Mental Health Day, the Premier League Primary Stars team partnered with the LFC Foundation's Mental Health Team to deliver a series of creative wellbeing workshops at Anfield.

Pupils from six local schools took part in four sessions designed to help them explore and express emotions through art and drama.

The workshops provided a safe, supportive space for children to build resilience, self-awareness, and empathy and align with the core values of the Premier League Primary Stars programme:

Be ambitious

Be inspiring

Be connected

Be fair

In another inspiring initiative, Year 4 and 5 pupils at Kings Northway Primary School launched their very own school podcast as part of PLPS.

Written, filmed, and presented entirely by the pupils, the podcast is shared with all classes each week, giving pupils a platform to express themselves, develop communication skills, and celebrate positive stories within their school.

Their debut episode featured an interview with Mr Taylor about the school’s new playground and its impact for the community.

This project is an exciting example of how Premier League Primary Stars continues to encourage pupil leadership, creativity, and confidence through engaging, football-linked learning experiences.

Adding to the excitement, LFC ambassador Natasha Dowie visited St Brigid’s Catholic Primary School's After-School Club.

The visit began with a pupil-led press conference where the girl's had the opportunity to ask Tash thoughtful questions about women's football, her experience playing in LFC Foundation's Legends matches, her playing career and her friends in football.

Afterwards, we took to the sports hall and a fun, skills-based football session to help train the girl's passing and accuracy.

Tash is an absolute legends and her presence inspired the girls by promoting equality in sport and highlight opportunities for more girls to take part in football, both in school and beyond.

Premier League Primary Stars is the Premier League's primary school education programme. Funded by the Premier League, through the Premier League Charitable Fund, the programme uses the appeal of football to help children to be active and develop essential life skills.
