LegendsPeter Crouch completes Legends squad for LFC Foundation charity match
Peter Crouch will return to Anfield for this year’s Legends charity match in aid of the LFC Foundation.
LFC Legends take on Borussia Dortmund Legends at Anfield on Saturday 28th March, kicking off at 3pm GMT.
Crouch returns to the Legends squad after a memorable Legends debut in front of a packed-out Anfield almost 12 months ago, scoring both goals in the 2-0 win over Chelsea Legends last March.
The 45-year-old made 134 appearances and scored 42 goals during his time with the Reds, and will team up with a host of former LFC favourites for the clash to help raise funds for the LFC Foundation.
Crouch completes the squad for this year’s charity match, with the team to be led by manager Sir Kenny Dalglish, alongside LFC Foundation honorary ambassador Jurgen Klopp with Reds legends Ian Rush and John Aldridge also returning to the dugout once again this year.
Joining Crouch in the squad are the likes of Steven Gerrard, Thiago Alcantara, Sami Hyypiä and Pepe Reina, alongside former LFCW stars Natasha Dowie and Louise Schillgard.
As always, all of the proceeds from this fixture – supported by AXA and held in association with Forever Reds – will go directly towards the work of LFC Foundation and Forever Reds.
Funds raised will support LFC Foundation's employability programmes, which help people across the community to find work, gain qualifications and develop new skills through mentoring and training.
The game will also contribute to the Foundation's long-term strategy and its ambition to support 500,000 people a season by 2030.
