LFC FoundationLFC Foundation's Onside participants achieve Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award
The achievement is a testament to their outstanding commitment, resilience, and teamwork throughout the programme.
A huge congratulations to our latest group of young people from the Onside Youth Intervention Programme, who have successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) is a non-competitive, life-changing experience for young people aged 14-24. It is designed to challenge and inspire young people, helping them develop essential life skills and confidence through a series of structured activities.
For their Physical Section, participants took part in dance, developing fitness, confidence and discipline. Their Volunteering Section was completed at Walton Youth, where they made a meaningful contribution to the local community. For the Skills Section, the group focused on developing a leadership group within their chosen charity, strengthening their communication, planning and organisational skills.
As part of their DofE journey, the young people also completed three expedition walks, learning vital map-reading, navigation and teamwork skills while experiencing the challenge of outdoor adventure.
They were even joined on their expeditions by LFC Foundation's Community Ambassador Chris Kirkland and his ever willing walker, Sam.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the dedication they have shown throughout both the Onside programme and their Bronze Award journey.
