LFC Foundation were awarded silver in the Best Sports Community Scheme club category at this year’s Sports Business Awards.
This is the second time in three years that the club’s official charity has received this award after winning gold in 2022, recognising their vital ongoing work in the local community.
During the 2022-23 season, the number of people supported by the LFC Foundation increased by 47 per cent to 123,000 compared to the previous 12 months, and that figure has grown again throughout the last year.
The awards were held on Friday at Old Billingsgate in London, and judges included a range of senior figures from across the world of sport and governing bodies.
Matt Parish, LFC Foundation chief executive, said: “We are delighted to be recognised once again, it is fantastic recognition for all of the hard work that our teams do in the community every day, supporting more people than ever across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.”
