LFC FoundationLFC Foundation Supports EVOLVE with Community Action Programmes
The LFC Foundation is proud to support the EVOLVE programme, a Merseyside Police initiative that aims to tackle serious and organised crime through community action, education, and opportunity.
By harnessing the power of football through targeted youth engagement, we’re working together to help to create safer streets and brighter futures for young people across the Liverpool City Region.
The LFC Foundation has worked closely with Merseyside Police to deliver a number of core programmes for vulnerable young people right across the region. The focus of these initiatives, which include Premier League Kicks, Onside, Premier League Primary Stars, and She Inspires, is to equip participants with new skills and qualifications, enabling and empowering them to be positive and active members of the community.
More than 11,000 young people throughout Merseyside have engaged with LFC Foundation activities as part of the EVOLVE programme. Key impacts include:
- 796 qualifications achieved through the Onside education programme
- 4,854 primary-aged pupils in 35 schools inspired to be active and to develop key life skills through Premier League Primary Stars
- 975 participants attended free half-term football camps in Kirkby and the Wirral
- 2,229 girls engaged through girls-only football sessions and She Inspires initiatives
- 445 young people educated on child exploitation and County Lines via Onside+
- 1,864 young people provided with mentoring and personal development opportunities through Premier League Kicks
- 1,269 young people were supported through personal development and social action through Premier League Inspires.
Matt Parish, CEO of the LFC Foundation, said: “By working in partnership with Merseyside Police, local schools, community hubs and partner agencies, we have been able to reach vulnerable young people across Merseyside, supporting them in building skills, confidence and resilience to make positive choices for their future. We’re incredibly proud to be a part of the EVOLVE programme, and to play our part in the goal of tackling serious and organised crime and creating a safer Liverpool City Region for everyone.”
