LFC Foundation are once again coming together alongside the club, supporters, partners and the wider community to support thousands of local people and families throughout the festive period.

‘LFC Foundation Christmas Magic’, the Christmas campaign of the Reds official charity, will be running for the sixth consecutive year throughout this month, with a focus on child and food poverty across the Liverpool City Region.

Activities delivered by LFC Foundation, will take place throughout December and the festive activities kick off today with the Forever Reds Christmas Lunch.

The sold-out annual Forever Reds Christmas lunch is a seasonal celebration where LFC legends come together to raise funds in support of the club’s official former players association and local good causes.

Last year’s event raised more than £80,000 and the creation of Forever Reds, who have donated more than £340,000 to local charities, was driven by the club’s desire to ensure former players always feel part of the LFC family – providing them with support, involving them in important work in the local community and coming together to raise money for local charitable causes alongside LFC Foundation.

Later today will also see the LFC Foundation’s Honeysuckle Christmas Lunch. Honeysuckle FC provides a safe environment for men who’ve experienced baby loss, to spend some time enjoying physical activity whilst allowing them to feel that they have the support of not only clinical staff but from their teammates too.

Fans can also again support the toy donation campaign through Hits Radio’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign, by donating new and unwrapped gifts at the Toy Appeal donation points in the LFC Retail Store at Anfield, Club Head Office on Chapel Street or the home of the Foundation – Anfield Sports and Community Centre. Supporters can also donate directly on the Cash for Kids website here.

The festivities continue throughout December with free Christmas lunches at Anfield, providing over 500 local people with a Christmas dinner and festive entertainment, while the LFC Foundation will once again be teaming up with club partners and volunteers to donate and deliver 2,500 food hampers to local residents, participants and their families.

LFC Foundation and the club continues to support St Andrew’s Community Network, home of the North Liverpool Foodbank, on the ongoing issue of food poverty and fans can show their support by making a food donation at the LFC Retail Store at Anfield or one of the upcoming Anfield games before Christmas. LFC Foundation will also be contributing food voucher donations to St Helens Council’s Christmas Gift Appeal.

LFC Foundation Christmas Magic events also include the club’s popular Christmas Carol Service at Anfield as well as programme specific Christmas parties.

The club has continued its support of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital with the annual visit from members of both the men’s and women’s teams and provides vital support to the LFC Foundation in all its community initiatives.
