LFC FoundationHoneysuckle FC and 4Louis FC unite on Rainbow Baby Day
LFC Foundation’s Honeysuckle FC welcomed 4Louis FC to Edge Hill University on Rainbow Baby Day for a special fixture that brought families together through shared understanding.
The match saw the two teams meet in honour of their babies, with players and families from both clubs united by experiences of baby loss and the journeys that have followed.
The relationship between Honeysuckle FC and 4Louis has continued to grow over recent years as the incredible support from 4Louis has grown from funding research, to supporting our dads and families to now launching their own team in Sunderland after being inspired by what our dads have created.
Honeysuckle FC claimed a 3-1 victory, but the result was secondary to the occasion itself. The fixture provided an opportunity for players to spend time with others who understand their experiences, while honouring the children who remain at the heart of both teams.
After the final whistle, players and families gathered together for food, drinks and conversation.
The bond of love is a term that Honeysuckle FC use to discuss the connection shared between the dads and families.
