LFC FoundationHealthy Me workshop supports families at Park Brow
As part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme, the LFC Foundation recently delivered a special parent-and-child workshop at Park Brow Primary School during their Healthy Me week.
The session was run in collaboration with the Children’s Health Team and aimed to help families build healthier habits at home.
Premier League Primary Stars is the Premier League's primary school education programme. Funded by the Premier League, through the Premier League Foundation, the programme uses the appeal of football to help children to be active and develop essential life skills.
Approximately 20 families took part in the interactive workshop, which combined practical advice with fun activities. While children enjoyed a sports session led by LFC Foundation's Community Ambassador & former LFC goalkeeper Chris Kirkland, parents explored key topics such as being “sugar smart,” incorporating 60 minutes of daily activity, and how to be a positive, healthy role model for their children.
The workshop was designed to make healthy living simple and achievable, giving families the tools to make small changes that have a big impact. To reinforce these messages, the learning will continue with a whole-school assembly the following day, helping embed healthy habits across the wider school community.
