The LFC Foundation recently welcomed ten members of its Female Coaching Collective to Melwood for an exclusive matchday observation, featuring the Girls Academy U14s against Greater Manchester County U14s.

The evening provided a unique opportunity for the coaches to observe every aspect of the matchday process. From pre-match warm-ups and team talks to in-game management, half-time adjustments, and post-match analysis, participants gained valuable insight into the professional environment. The session concluded with reflections and cool-downs, offering a comprehensive view of elite player development.

The Female Coaching Collective is designed to expose grassroots female coaches to a variety of environments, workshops, and programmes across the LFC Foundation. These experiences aim to provide targeted development opportunities that coaches can take back to their respective clubs, strengthening the grassroots game.

To date, the programme has supported 25 female coaches, offering multiple developmental touchpoints, including sessions at the LFC Academy and Melwood. Looking ahead, the coaches will attend upcoming LFC Women fixtures in January for further elite matchday observations, continuing their journey toward becoming influential leaders in the game.
