LFC FoundationEmerging Talent Centre Squads Shine in First Competitive Fixtures
This week marked an exciting milestone for our U9 and U10 Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) squads as they took part in their first fixtures within the ETC pathway.
These matches provided a valuable opportunity for our young players to showcase their development and put their training into practice in a competitive environment.
Our U9 squad proudly represented LFC Foundation, facing strong opposition from Huyton Juniors and MSB Woolton. Meanwhile, the U10 squad took on FC Fender and one of our own boys’ Player Development groups. Across both age groups, the teams delivered impressive performances, securing three wins out of four matches.
The player's commitment, teamwork, and resilience were evident throughout, reflecting the positive impact of the ETC programme’s emphasis on holistic development and high-quality coaching.
The Emerging Talent Centre is a key part of the LFC Foundation's wider strategy to tackle social inequalities within our communities by championing health, learning and employability opportunities within our community.
This season, the Emerging Talent Centre aims to engage over 600 young female players, offering them access to elite-level coaching and an environment that promotes both personal and athletic development.
We are incredibly proud of our U9 and U10 squads for their performances and the professionalism they displayed on and off the pitch. These fixtures mark the beginning of an exciting journey, and we look forward to supporting our young players as they continue to grow and thrive within the ETC pathway.
