Zach Forman, a student at Birtenshaw, brings an energy to every session that lifts everyone around him. Week in, week out, he shows up ready to give his all not just in his football, where his ability and effort speak for themselves, but in his attitude and willingness to keep improving. His progress across both skill and personal development has been clear to see, but it’s what he does beyond that which really sets him apart.

Although his session lasts just 30 minutes, Zach chooses to stay for the full afternoon, from 1pm to 3pm. During that time, he becomes more than a participant; he becomes a leader. He supports others, helps run activities, and plays a huge role in creating a welcoming, positive space for everyone involved.

What stands out most is Zach’s awareness of others. He recognises when someone needs a bit more help or encouragement, particularly those with more complex needs, and steps in without hesitation. Whether it’s guiding someone through a drill, breaking skills down, or simply offering reassurance, he does it with patience, understanding, and genuine care.

Zach isn’t just developing himself; he’s actively bringing others with him. That’s what our programme is all about. His commitment, leadership, and empathy make him a fantastic role model, and a deserving Champion of the Month.
