Children's Mental Health Week 2026 which takes place from February 5-11, 2026, focuses on raising awareness surrounding children's mental health and well-being.

As we come to the end of Children’s Mental Health Week, The LFC Foundation wraps what has been an extraordinary 5-days of assemblies, workshops, and virtual activities for young people in and around Merseyside. Lead by our Premier League Primary stars team and our mental health team, we have encouraged and impacted kids to learn and explore their mental health.

Our mental health team delivered workshops in primary and secondary schools as well as four community centres, engaging over 2,500 young people. The team delivered arts, sports and games workshops all designed to improve the mental health knowledge of children and encourage them to take care of their body and mind. One highlight of the week was delivering a live virtual workshop from Anfield Stadium to 22 primary schools, LFC Foundation Mental Health Co-ordinators Barry, Ali and Jack did an amazing job conveying messages about the importance of looking after both body and mind to 1,440 children who tuned into the virtual workshop.

Our Premier League Primary Stars team put on a series of workshops and assemblies to celebrate the week. The theme was 'This is my Place' and the children discussed belonging, feeling valued and how it supports your wellbeing and mental health. During the week, the Premier League Primary Stars team delivered to 3,829 participants from 13 different schools in Merseyside, alongside special guest Mighty Red!

We at the LFC Foundation have been blown away by the creatively and energy of all the children engaged, always remembering no matter where in the world you are, "you'll never walk alone".
