Join Liverpool legends including Ian Rush, Phil Thompson, Natasha Dowie and David Fairclough at the annual Forever Reds Christmas Lunch which is confirmed for Friday 4 December 2026. Tickets are on sale now.

It’s the biggest fundraising event of the year for Forever Reds, LFC’s former players association, and is vital in helping them continue their local Liverpool community work.

To date the Forever Reds have donated over £590,000 to the local community. The funding, distributed in partnership with the LFC Foundation, supports initiatives spanning health, wellbeing, and community care to make a meaningful difference to thousands of people across the region.

Beneficiaries include Aldey Hey Children’s Charity, Zoe’s Place, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Hillsborough Survivors Support Alliance and Alzheimer’s Society. They have also supported local Anfield projects like the new Kicking Off Conversations hub and Christmas Hampers that get delivered to the local residents each festive season.

Forever Reds also supported ex-players like Ron Yeats whose family reached out for support with his care needs during his final years.

Chairman of Forever Reds, John Aldridge, said: “We look forward to this get together every year, it’s always a great afternoon and fantastic to see so many of our former players come together in support of Forever Reds.

“It’s incredible to think we’re donated over £590,000 to the local community from our events like the Christmas Lunch. We’re so proud to be supporting organisations that do such vital work across the city. We thank the fans for coming every year to this sell-out event.”

“We founded Forever Reds in 2018, to support our former players, it’s incredible to see how its grown in that time. Every year we look forward to the annual celebration and to bring our former players back to Anfield.”

Alongside former player Q&A’s hosted by Peter McDowall, there will be special performances from singer Ray Quinn and poet Joseph Roberts.

Held in The Beautiful Game hospitality lounge at Anfield Stadium, fans will enjoy a three-course Christmas lunch at the home of the Reds.

There will also be money-can’t-buy auction prizes and a raffle. The auction prizes include signed LFC merchandise, plus a special ticket and travel package to see the Reds away in Europe. Fans will each receive a LFC Forever Reds keepsake.

Forever Reds was established to ensure former players remain an integral part of the Liverpool FC family. The initiative brings together former players to support each other, contribute to meaningful community work, and raise funds for local causes alongside the LFC Foundation.
