Introduction
1. LFC Foundation (LFCF) is a registered charity with charity registration number 1096572. LFCF is holding a sleepout event, called Kip on the Kop, this year on Saturday 9th September 2023 (the “Event”) and these terms and conditions apply to it.
2. By registering for the Event, you (a participant in the Event) are deemed to accept these terms and conditions in full
The Event
Only those who are registered to take part in the Event and have received confirmation of their place may take part in the Event.
1. Each participant will spend the night sleeping outdoors, within Anfield Stadium (the “Venue”) in a location within the Venue as advised by LFCF having regard to weather conditions.
2. The Event is scheduled to take place from 8pm on Saturday 9th September 2023 until 7.00am on Sunday 10th September 2023 (the “Event Date”).
3. Each participant must be 16 years of age or over on the Event Date in order to participate in the Event. Proof of age will be required in the form of official photographic identification (this must be brought to the Event). You may be refused entry if you are not carrying identification. Participants aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 years or over.
4. You must arrive at the Venue on the Event Date in good time in advance of the start time (unless otherwise notified in writing by LFCF).
5. At the Event, regardless of the weather conditions, you will be sleeping outside., We recommend that you bring appropriate equipment and wear suitable clothing and footwear. There are a few essential items that you must bring, such as (i) sleeping bag; (ii) warm, layered clothing including an outdoor coat; (iii) photo identification (this is essential); (iv) foam ground mat; and (v) any essential medication you will need while you are at the Event.
6. Liquids are NOT permitted this includes alcohol (this is an alcohol-free event - please don't bring any onsite). Access to refreshments will be provided.
7. You must not register for the Event if you are suffering from any medical condition or disability that might make it unsafe for you to participate. If you are in any doubt as to your ability to participate in the Event, we recommend that you seek medical advice from your doctor (or other healthcare professional) before registering.
8. If you begin to suffer from any pain, discomfort, fatigue or any other symptoms during the Event, you must immediately notify an authorised representative of LFCF.
9. You must comply with all reasonable instructions provided to you at the Event by LFCF or its authorised representatives.
10. LFCF may, at its sole discretion (acting reasonably), cancel or postpone the Event. If the Event is cancelled (and not rescheduled) or postponed LFCF will advise you as soon as it is reasonably possible to do so in the circumstances and will, on receipt of your written request, refund your registration fee. For the avoidance of doubt, if you are in breach of these terms and conditions, LFCF may exclude you from the Event and you will not be entitled to a refund of your registration fee.
11. In particular, LFCF reserves the right to refuse your entry to the Event, or to remove you from the Event, for any reason including but not limited to if you do not attend the Event with valid photographic ID, you are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and/or if it considers that your behaviour is (or will) threatening the health, safety or enjoyment of (or otherwise causing a nuisance to) the other participants in the Event.
12. Please note that alcohol and drugs (with the exception of prescription medication), smoking (including e-cigarettes and vapes) are strictly forbidden at the Event and any participant contravening this will be asked to leave the Event immediately. Bag searches will take place on entry to the event and no liquids must be taken on site.
13. Participants will be unable to leave the Event for any reason once admitted (this includes but is not limited to you will be unable to leave to smoke). If a participant leaves the Event they will not be readmitted.
14. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude the liability of LFCF and the Club for: a. death or personal injury caused by its own negligence or the negligence of its directors, officers, employees, agents and trustees (as applicable); b. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or c. any matter in respect of which it would be unlawful to exclude or restrict liability.
15. Subject to clauses 10 and 14 above, neither LFCF or The Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Limited (LFC), their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and trustees shall under no circumstances whatsoever be liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any loss, damage, expense or costs arising (directly or indirectly) from your participation in the Event. Furthermore, neither LFC and/or LFCF shall be liable to you in respect of any losses arising out of any event or events beyond its reasonable control.
16. You agree to hold harmless and indemnify LFC and/or LFCF from any and all liability for any personal injury to any third party or for any property damage caused by your negligence arising (directly or indirectly) from your participation in the Event.

Availability
1. There are 250 places available for the Event.
2. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, based on registration and payment of the registration fee for the Event.
3. Subject to availability, the closing date for registration is Wednesday 6 th September 2023. Please note registration may close early if places are no longer available.
4. LFCF reserves the right to cancel, alter or delay the Event as a result of any unforeseen circumstances beyond the reasonable control of LFCF including, but not limited to, extreme weather conditions. If cancellation, alteration or delay of the Event occurs, then LFCF will advise you as soon as it is reasonably possible to do so in the circumstances.
Registration & Sponsorship
1. To complete your registration for and participate in the Event, you must pay a registration fee of £30.00 to LFCF. Except as otherwise provided in these terms and conditions, the registration fee is non-refundable. The registration fee must be paid to LFCF via the payment link sent to your registered email address.
2. As part of your registration for the Event, you must provide the details requested on the registration form which include the name, telephone number(s) of your next of kin (who must be 18 years or over) and confirm your relationship to your next of kin who will be available on the Event Date and can be contacted in the case of an emergency. This must not be another participant in the Event.
3. You must raise a minimum of £250.00 in sponsorship for the Event in order to participate in it. This is over and above your registration fee of £30.00. LFCF reserves the right not to allow you to participate if you fail to make this minimum sponsorship.
4. All participants must sign up to the Just Giving ‘Kip on the Kop’ event page and where money has been collected by you all of the money you raise for the Event must be paid to LFCF within 28 days after the Event Date (even if you do not participate in the Event for whatever reason).
5. You must not act in any way before, during or after the Event which may bring the Club into disrepute or damage its reputation in any way (in the reasonable opinion of the Club).
Media and IP
1. You consent to any photographs or footage taken of you during the Event being used by LFCF without charge for promotional or advertising purposes and assign to us absolutely full title guarantee for all existing and future rights to be used worldwide in perpetuity in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter developed or discovered. This includes but is not limited to, use in promotional and publicity materials (both printed materials and those featured on the official Liverpool Football Club website) for future events hosted by LFCF. 2. You acknowledge that you have no right or licence to use the intellectual property rights of LFCF (including its name or logo) for any purpose.
Data Protection
The information you provide on the registration form (including any sensitive personal data) shall be processed for the following purposes: ▪ to make arrangements in connection with the Event (and future LFCF events), including but not limited to, booking and payment arrangements; and ▪ to ensure the safety and security of all participants at the Event.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute in relation to them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Declaration
By completing the registration form, you hereby certify and confirm that:
- you have read, understand and accept these terms and conditions in full;
- you are 16 years of age or over, or you will be on the Event Date;
- you understand, appreciate and accept the risks and hazards that are (or might be) involved in the Event; and
- all of the information you have provided is correct to the best of your knowledge and you consent to the processing and transfer of your personal data, including any sensitive personal data, for the purposes set out above.
