Kicking Off Conversations

Talking about suicide saves lives.

Let's start the conversation now.

This season, the LFC Foundation is launching a space outside Anfield Stadium, where fans can visit before matchdays to talk about mental wellbeing. The initiative, called ‘Kicking Off Conversations’, is supported by the Premier League and the Professional Footballers’ Association.

Operating on Premier League matchdays. Fans will have access to a dedicated physical safe space located at the corner of 97 Avenue and Anfield Road, staffed by trained professionals who will offer confidential advice, support, and referrals to specialist services.

Helping our neighbours is embedded in the DNA of Liverpool FC, and we are proud to collaborate with exceptional local charities to ensure that no one ever walks—or talks—alone. Whether you, or someone around you needs support in a suicidal crisis, advice about low mood, or help after losing a loved one to suicide, there are some incredible charities and agencies who can assist.

Kicking Off Conversations is supported by the Premier League and the Professional Footballer's Association. Administered through the Premier League Charitable Fund, the funding helps football clubs to tackle inequality and respond to local challenges, supporting people and their communities to be more inclusive.

This season, 24 professional football club community organisations across the Premier League and English Football League are delivering projects supported by the Premier League and PFA in their local communities.

These funded projects have engaged more than 230,000 unique participants in more than 330,000 sessions across England and Wales. Projects are supported by current and former professional football players, and scholars, to enhance the impact on participants.
