Liverpool will turn their attention to a familiar face this summer as the Reds hunt the signing of Pepe Reina, according to reports.

Reina is set to leave Napoli at the end of the season even if they win Serie A.

And Spanish outlet Marca report Liverpool could nip in to bring the 35-year-old back to Anfield.

AC Milan were favourites to sign the shot-stopper but Klopp is keen due to Reina’s Premier League experience.

The Spaniard spent eight seasons with Liverpool, clocking up almost 400 appearances for the Reds.

He won four trophies during his time on Merseyside including the FA Cup in 2006 and League Cup in 2012.

Reina had a year on loan at Napoli before a move to Bayern Munich where he made just three appearances during his single season in German.

A permanent return to Napoli followed where Reina has helped the side compete at the top of the table.

Napoli currently sit seven points behind Serie A leaders Juventus though do have a game in hand.

Reina has helped limit opposition to just 26 goals in the league with Napoli possessing the second best defensive record.
