Liverpool may have to go up against Real Madrid for target Timo Werner, according to reports.

The Germany and RB Leipzig star has caught the eye of top clubs in Europe, meaning the Reds bid to land him has got a whole lot more difficult.

Sport1 now say that Real are keen on him after missing out on Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

Real have seen what everyone else has, a combination of creativity and goals, but will have to contend with Leipzig's keenness to keep hold of their stars.

They have, however, got a relationship with the Reds after agreeing a deal for Naby Keita to head to Anfield next season.
