Liverpool are reported to be lining up a swoop for West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang but could have to pay £18million to land him.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is planning a number of signings when the transfer window re-opens, and according to reports the Spanish midfielder is high on his list of targets.

The 24-year-old has impressed for the Hammers since arriving from Sampdoria in 2015, and has caught the eye of Klopp, who is said to be weighing up a bid.

West Ham will be keen to keep hold of the defensive midfielder and Slaven Bilic is under no pressure to sell as he still has two years remaining on his current deal.

However, Liverpool look sure to test their resolve in the close season, and an offer in the region of £18million for the Spaniard, could see him heading to Anfield.
