Liverpool are said to be close to completing a deal for Mexican Hector Herrera from Porto.

The all-action player, 26, is also wanted by Napoli and the Italians are said to have offered in the region of £14.5m for him, although he would apparently prefer a move to the Premier League.

Fox Sports MX claim Liverpool have agreed terms with Porto and Pachuca, who own 30 per cent of the player, and he will follow in the footsteps of Loris Karius, Marko Grujic and Joel Matip who have already signed for the Reds this summer.
