Liverpool will have to fork out around £7m to snare Leicester defender Ben Chilwell, 19, this summer.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to add to his options at left-back and has been linked with Chilwell for some time.

It has been claimed discussions between Liverpool and the Premier League champions are ongoing, with Leicester open to a sale.

Previous reports have indicated the Anfield side had hoped to land the England under-21 international for a £4million fee, but it is now thought the Foxes are holding out for closer to £7million.

Chilwell was unable to force his way into the Leicester side on a regular basis last term although he did impress in his limited opportunities.

Klopp may view the youngster as one for the future, meaning he could potentially still be in the market for a new left-back even if Chilwell makes the move to Anfield.
