Liverpool are again being linked with a swoop to sign Roma playmaker Leandro Paredes before the transfer deadline.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been busy in the transfer window with deals completed to bring in the likes of Sadio Mane, Loris Karius, Ragnar Klavan and Georginio Wijnaldum relatively early.

However, with just ten days of the window remaining it is being reported that the German tactician is keen to further add to his squad and he has an extra injection of cash at his disposal following Christian Benteke's initial £27million move to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Klopp was linked with a move for Paredes earlier in the year after the 22-year-old enjoyed a loan spell with Serie A side Empoli, where he scored two goals and made one assist in 34 appearances.

The main obstacle to a deal being done now for the former Boca Juniors starlet is he has now returned to Roma ahead of the new campaign and looks set to be handed a chance to become a regular in the first team following the departure of midfielder Miralem Pjanic to Juventus.
