Liverpool are keen on a summer deal to sign Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, according to reports.

The Denmark centre back is coming to the end of the first of a two-year loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach where he has sparkled.

Monchengladbach are already looking into a permanent transfer, but the Daily Mail says Liverpool also want to snap him up.

Jurgen Klopp is certain to bring in new defenders this summer to strengthen the Reds backline and Christensen is a major talent.

Liverpool would have to first agree a deal with Chelsea then compensate Monchengladbach for cancelling the loan early in order to sign him.
