Liverpool make the short trip across Stanley Park on Saturday to face neighbours Everton for the 198th time in the league.

Should the Reds triumph, they will equal the hosts' tally of 34 league victories in Merseyside derbies at Goodison Park.

Here's how LFC have fared in their last five away trips to the ground...

1. Mane has final say at Goodison

This scrappy affair looked like a nailed-on stalemate until deep into stoppage-time, when Sadio Mane popped up to grab a dramatic, last-gasp winner.

The Senegal international reacted quickest to Daniel Sturridge's rebounded shot off the post to send the travelling Reds into raptures and write his name into derby folklore.

It was the fourth time Liverpool had secured a Premier League victory over Everton via a goal scored in the 90th minute or later.

The hosts did not manage a shot on target until the 75th minute and that was in no small part due to Ragnar Klavan's Man of the Match performance at centre-back.

2. Rodgers' final game

This proved to be Brendan Rodgers' final game as Liverpool manager as the Northern Irishman parted company with the club after three-and-a-half years at the helm afterwards.

He led the Reds to second place in the Premier League in 2013-14 but this derby-day draw meant his team had won just four of the last 11 matches in all competitions.

Danny Ings headed in James Milner's corner to put the Reds in front following two excellent saves from Simon Mignolet at the other end, but Romelu Lukaku equalised four minutes later.

3. Gridlock at Goodison

Captain Steven Gerrard, so often the scourge of Everton, made his 33rd and final appearance in the Merseyside derby before heading off to Los Angeles Galaxy.

The departing Anfield icon mustered a bicycle kick that was deflected over the bar, but little else enthralled in an otherwise low-key affair.

Jordon Ibe hit the post with a thunderous first-half effort on his second Premier League start, while Seamus Coleman registered Everton's one and only shot on target in the 87th minute.

4. Sturridge stars in nailbiting finale

With 11 minutes to go in this thriller at Goodison Park, Rodgers brought on Daniel Sturridge for Lucas Leiva. Then, with injury-time just seconds away, the striker met Steven Gerrard's free-kick with a glancing header to notch a last-gasp equaliser in a classic derby encounter.

"A brilliant game, it had everything," Rodgers said after the final whistle. "Magnificent."

Liverpool had led 2-1 through Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez, but two goals in 10 minutes from Romelu Lukaku put Everton in the driving seat before Sturridge notched his 22nd goal in 30 games for the Reds.

5. Suarez steals the show

Luis Suarez scored Liverpool's second goal and had an apparent injury-time winner ruled out for offside after the Toffees had fought back from 2-0 down.

It was another inspired performance from the Uruguayan, who nudged his shots-on-goal tally for the season up to 44 - more than any other Premier League player.
