A determination to help Liverpool achieve a top-four finish is driving Divock Origi as the Premier League season enters its closing stages.

With five games of the campaign remaining, the Reds go into Sunday’s meeting with Crystal Palace at Anfield in third place in the standings and on the back of a seven-match unbeaten run.

That impressive form has come despite the likes of Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane missing games due to injury issues - and Origi feels confident that Liverpool can maintain their push to secure a return to the Champions League.

“Obviously I’m not happy for the team to have injuries, but as I said before we have a strong team, we have a lot of qualities, so it’s on me to just play my game, enjoy and try to score goals and I’m happy that we’re on the winning side now,” the Belgium international said, on the latest edition of ‘LFC Later’.

“Hopefully we’ll go through until the end and get the Champions League ticket.”

Origi has scored in his last two appearances at Anfield, and the No.27 is eager to make it three goals in as many outings on home soil this weekend.

“I’m always happy to play at Anfield, I can really feel the support and it pushes me to go even further. I’m very happy for the game of Sunday and hopefully we can win,” he added.
