Liverpool are undefeated in their last six Saturday tea-time league fixtures – winning five. They have beaten Manchester City (twice), Crystal Palace, West Brom and Leicester City, with the draw coming in this match last season.

The Reds have taken 13 points from seven games against the rest of the top six this season. At Anfield they have won one and drawn two, scoring twice, with both goals coming from Georginio Wijnaldum, against Manchester City and Chelsea.

Spurs have won four times in their last 70 league visits to Anfield. They came in 1985, 1986, 1993 and 2011, this after winning two of their first three.

Mauricio Pochettino has won two of his nine clashes with the Reds as a manager in all competitions, drawing three and losing the other four. He has yet to beat Liverpool as Spurs boss in six league and cup meetings.

Spurs’ game with Middlesbrough last weekend was Pochettino’s 100th league match in charge. He has won 52 of those.

Tottenham have lost only twice in the league this season, fewer than any other top-flight team. They both came away from home – at Chelsea (1-2) and Manchester United (0-1).

Spurs have yet to lose any game this season by more than a one-goal margin. They have been beaten six times in 34 league and cup fixtures, including at Anfield in the League Cup.
