The last nine Premier League meetings at Old Trafford have produced 32 goals.

Earlier this season, the teams played out a 0-0 draw - only the second goalless stalemate between the clubs at Anfield in the Premier League era.

That draw was only the second time the spoils have been shared in the last 22 clashes between the Reds and United, with the other coming in October 2011 when Steven Gerrard and Javier Hernandez netted at Anfield.

The last campaign in which both league meetings ended all square was 1987-88, and there has not been a league draw between the sides at Old Trafford since March 2000.

Liverpool have scored in seven of their last eight league visits to United.

Daniel Sturridge has netted four goals in eight appearances for the Reds against United. His league debut came at Old Trafford in a 2-1 defeat in January 2013, when he came off the bench to score.

Liverpool have lost one of their last 18 Premier League games.

Adam Lallana scored at Old Trafford for Southampton in a 1-1 draw three seasons ago, while Georginio Wijnaldum netted for Newcastle United against the Red Devils in a 3-3 draw at St James' Park in January last year.
