Roberto Firmino narrowly beat Sadio Mane to claim the Carlsberg Man of the Match award after the 4-1 Anfield victory over Leicester City.

The Brazilian was on target twice on Saturday evening, beginning and ending the scoring as Liverpool marked their first home game of the season with an impressive result.

Reds fans were asked to select their star performer of the game in a post-match Twitter poll – and Firmino topped the vote with 35 per cent.

Mane was a close second on 33 per cent, with Adam Lallana third and defender Joel Matip fourth as almost 14,000 supporters had their say.
