Karius: Why I can't wait to start working with Klopp
Loris Karius has explained why the opportunity to work under the tutelage of Jürgen Klopp was one he could not pass up this summer.
The goalkeeper agreed a long-term deal with Liverpool last week to tie up a transfer from Bundesliga club FSV Mainz 05.
And Karius is already relishing the prospect of being coached by Klopp when he begins life at Melwood for pre-season training in July.
The 22-year-old said: “He was a big factor, because he is one of the best coaches in the world and has shown how well he brings young players forward.
“But there is also the tradition of the club, the atmosphere, which is not so common in the world. All in all, it was the perfect total package.”
