Five young fans from the local Woodchurch High School had a day to remember at Anfield on Saturday as the Reds faced Swansea City.

The pupils, who are currently competing in LFC Foundation’s Premier League Enterprise Challenge, were invited to enjoy the game for reaching the semi-finals of the competition.

Five young supporters aged 15-16 enjoyed pre-match hospitality from an executive box before watching the match from the new Main Stand.

Teacher Adam Bunby, who accompanied the youngsters, said: “The students have been working hard on their Premier League Enterprise Challenge and were ecstatic to hear they had got through to represent Liverpool Football Club in the next round.

“The prize of tickets to a match in a box in the new Main Stand was something they could never have dreamed of.

“The students were so excited as they looked around the ground - some of them had never been to a game before and were in awe of the size of the stadium and the new stand. They enjoyed a delicious meal in the box and loved the atmosphere.

“The pupils are now looking forward to representing Liverpool in the semi-finals at the Etihad Stadium next week.”
