Liverpool v Watford: Live matchday blog
Liverpool continued their excellent Premier League form with a 6-1 victory over Watford at Anfield to go top of the table.
Goals from Sadio Mane (2), Philippe Coutinho, Emre Can, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum did the damage for the Reds, while Daryl Janmaat grabbed a consolation for the visitors.
Jürgen Klopp addressed the media in his post-match press conference. Click here to read it.
Klopp: “When I came here I asked for time, patience, belief and a lot of things. Now everyone is asking for guarantees but they are not there. There are no guarantees. The only thing we have is a pretty good football team.”
Klopp: “If somebody thinks being one point ahead after 11 matchdays is a big sign for the rest of the season, I can tell this person ‘Sorry’. We will stay cool. We didn’t speak one word before the game about the possibility of being top of the table.”
Klopp: “We are still early in our development and there are a lot of things we can improve.”
Klopp: “We were really concentrated and the first half was really good, really good. The second half was how it is – the break was better for the opponent than it was for us.”
Klopp: “I am really happy, but for me to be ‘thrilled’ we have to have a little bit more. It was a good performance.”
Here's how the Premier League table looks for Liverpool...
Here are all your match stats from Anfield...
It's all over at Anfield and Liverpool go outright top of the Premier League table after an irresistible performance to beat Watford 6-1.
Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Emre Can struck in the first half before Roberto Firmino, Mane again and Georginio Wijnaldum netted in the second period.
GOAL! GEORGINIO WIJNALDUM!
Gini has his first Liverpool goal as he capatilises on the rebound from Pantilimon's save from Sturridge's shot to drill the ball into the back of the net.
GOAL! GEORGINIO WIJNALDUM!
Sturridge smacks the crossbar again with a first-time curler from 20 yards after a neat one-two with Wijnaldum. Firmino's follow up is saved by the legs of Pantilimon.
Liverpool's last change of the afternoon and fans stand to applaud Philippe Coutinho as he makes his way off. Ovie Ejaria comes on in his place.
Clyne's low cross finds Coutinho's run but he blasts over the bar.
Sturridge goes close again; however, this time Pantilimon reads his attempt to curl into the corner beyond a defender and makes the save.
Miguel Britos sees yellow for a trip on Emre Can.
Sturridge smashes the ball off the top of the crossbar with an effort from a tight angle. Unlucky.
Watford pull a goal back as Daryl Janmaat slides a low effort into the corner after finding space inside the LFC box.
Watford close to grabbing a goal back as Karius takes the sting out of Capoue's shot after he'd been put clean through by Deeney and Milner is on hand to clear away from the line
The Reds make their second change and Daniel Sturridge is on for Adam Lallana.
Another smart stop from Karius, this time thwarting Deeney as he got a toe to Britos' cross.
A good save from Karius at full stretch to keep out Capoue's curler through a crowd of bodies inside the box, keeping the clean sheet intact.
Liverpool's first change of the afternoon sees Mane withdrawn and given a standing ovation by supporters. He's replaced by Wijnaldum.
GOAL! SADIO MANE!
Liverpool have a fifth goal and it's a second of the afternoon for Mane.
Firmino darts into space and holds off the challenge of Capoue inside the area before taking his time and crossing low for Mane to hook into the net from inside the six-yard box.
GOAL! ROBERTO FIRMINO!
Roberto Firmino now gets in on the act as he profits from some excellent work from Lallana, who drives a low ball across the face of goal, leaving the Brazilian with the simplest of tasks to tap in.
Yellow card for Holebas after a late tackle on Mane.
The ball sits up invitingly for Henderson in the box, but he curls over the bar.
Coutinho shifts the ball onto his right foot inside the D on the edge of the box...it sails just wide of the top corner.
We're back underway at Anfield...

Here are your first-half stats from Anfield...
Liverpool hold a commanding lead over Watford at the break as goals from Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Emre Can put them 3-0 up at the half-way stage.
It should be 4-0, but no-one is there to meet Can's ball right across the face of goal with Pantilimon out of position.
GOAL! EMRE CAN!
Liverpool increase their lead once more and Watford are again left stunned by the speed in which they've been attacked.
This time, it's Can who gets in on the scoring act, glancing in Lallana's cross from the right after another lightning-fast raid forward.
Oh, Mane, Mane!
Watford are forced into a change. Gomes injured himself trying to thwaty Coutinho's shot and he hasn't recovered. Costel Pantilimon is on in his place.
GOAL! PHILIPPE COUTINHO!
Liverpool don't waste any time in grabbing a second and it had to be the Little Magician involved, didn't it?
A slick passing move ends up with the ball at Coutinho's feet on the edge of the area. He shimmies into space and drills low into the net, leaving Gomes helpless.
GOAL! SADIO MANE!
After a succession of chances, Liverpool are - finally - in front.
A short corner from Milner to Coutinho allows the No.10 to ping an in-swinging cross into the area, which is met with a glancing header from Mane to direct the ball into the far corner.
Gomes does well to save at Milner's feet after his give-and-go with Can put him into space inside the area.
Another brilliant chance goes to waste as Firmino uncharacteristically prods wide when one-on-one with Gomes after magnificent work from Mane and then Coutinho to set him away.
Now Milner drives one at goal from the edge of the area...comfortable take for Gomes.
How has that not gone in?
A speedy counter-attack, spearheaded by Mane, sees the Senegal forward release Coutinho in the box. An incredible first touch takes him beyond a defender but he strikes into the side netting when a goal looked inevitable.
Coutinho cracks the crossbar from 10 yards out with a hooked volley from Mane's cross; however, he was flagged offside and it wouldn't have stood.
A glorious chance for Liverpool to open the scoring, but Lucas can't take full advantage of it.
Coutinho's corner falls for him at the back post, but his close-range shot is blocked by Gomes' sprawling dive.
Lucas meets Milner's free-kick with a glancing header that bounces wide of the post.
Now at the other end, Amrabat clips a left-footer towards goal from the edge of the area. It's comfortable for Karius
First chance of the game for Liverpool as Firmino and Lallana play a one-two down the left to open up the visiting defence. It results in the former prodding a half-volley at goal, but it's a routine take for Heurelho Gomes.

In his matchday programme piece, meanwhile, the manager has stressed the important role the supporters can play in helping their team...
Klopp says: "There is no reason why the atmosphere cannot be special. There is no reason why we cannot make this a special game and a special afternoon. The fans have played a huge role so far but, as with the players, they need to continue on this path."
Jordan Henderson's programme notes are a fascinating read ahead of kick-off, with the captain explaining why and how the players are blocking out any external 'noise' relating to their fine form.
"That's what the gaffer and the coaching staff are drilling into us," he writes. "We have only one aim each week: try to win the next game. Beyond that it's for other people to discuss and debate."
The Reds will wear shirts embroidered with poppies during today's game, in support of the Royal British Legion.
