Momo Sissoko has revealed his anticipation for the chance to represent Liverpool at Anfield again.
The former Reds midfielder, who made 87 appearances under Rafael Benitez, will be back in L4 to play for Liverpool FC Legends against Manchester United Legends next month.
The game is the second leg of the Legends of the North clash and will kick off at 3pm BST on Saturday September 24.
Sissoko is one of five Reds players confirmed so far – alongside Jerzy Dudek, Robbie Keane, Bjorn Tore Kvarme and Steve McManaman – with more to be announced soon.
“What a pride to wear the Reds jersey and to be back on the pitch of the mythical Anfield stadium for this occasion,” Sissoko posted on social media.
“Thank you for the invitation, it’s always an honour.”
Tickets for the Legends of the North charity match are on sale now, priced at £27 for adults, £7 for juniors and £17 for over 65s.
