NewsSold-out LFC Foundation Gala Ball continues fundraising drive for local communities
Taking place this Thursday (May 21) at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, the annual Gala Ball will celebrate Liverpool's people, passion and pride, while raising vital funds for LFC Foundation programmes tackling social inequality through health, learning and employability initiatives.
Supporters unable to attend the sold-out event can still support the Foundation's ongoing work by making a donation here or taking part in the Gala Ball silent auction here, with prizes including signed shirts, tickets to the final game of the Premier League season and much more.
Guests attending the evening will enjoy live performances from Liverpool Soul icons The Real Thing, Jamie Webster and Brad Kella, alongside headline guest speaker Steven Gerrard. Other former Reds in attendance will include John Aldridge, Gary McAllister, Jason McAteer, Vladimir Smicer, Natasha Dowie and more.
The evening will also feature a live pledge moment centred around a specially commissioned painting of Diogo Jota, created following his tragic passing alongside his brother André Silva last July. All proceeds raised through the pledge will go directly to the grassroots football programme established by LFC Foundation in Jota's name.
Inspired by his connection to the game and the values both brothers demonstrated on and off the pitch, the programme will support young people to play, learn and develop through football, creating opportunities that reflect his legacy and impact.
Throughout the 2024-25 season, LFC Foundation supported more than 145,000 people, with 20 per cent located within the most-deprived communities in the UK, highlighting the continued scale and reach across its work.
The Foundation also continues to support Forever Reds, the club's official former players association.
