NewsMo Salah becomes Liverpool's record penalty scorer in league football
Mohamed Salah has now scored the most penalties in league football in Liverpool FC’s history.
The Egyptian stepped up to emphatically slam in a 95th-minute spot-kick and give the Reds a 1-0 win at Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
That was Salah’s 35th successful penalty in the league for the club - a new outright record at LFC as he moved clear of Billy Liddell’s tally of 34.
Overall, Salah has netted 45 times from the spot since joining the Reds. Only Steven Gerrard, with 47, remains above the No.11 on that particular list.
