Leanne Kiernan and captain Niamh Fahey could return from injury in Liverpool FC Women's showdown with Manchester United at Anfield.

Kiernan was sidelined after withdrawing from duty with the Republic of Ireland in the recent international break, while Fahey has been out since the turn of the year.

Hannah Silcock is the only Reds player unavailable for Friday night's Barclays Women's Super League encounter in L4.

Offering an update on the squad, interim manager Amber Whiteley said at her pre-match press conference: "All good on that front.

"Leanne Kiernan has been back in full training, Niamh Fahey has been back in training too. It's just Hannah Silcock we're without."

Asked whether Kiernan and Fahey are available to feature, Whiteley replied: "Yeah, they're available for selection."
