NewsLFC International Academy expands to Arizona and Nevada
Liverpool Football Club is excited to announce a new long-term agreement that will see the launch of LFC International Academies (LFC IA) in Arizona and Nevada, marking the latest expansion of its global youth development programme in the United States.
The new academies will kick off with summer camps in June, followed by year-round programmes launching later in the summer – a successful model already used at multiple LFC IA locations in North America.
Under the guidance of LFC coaches, young players aged four to 18 will have the opportunity to sharpen their football skills, while developing their technical, tactical, physical, social and mental abilities through age-specific coaching sessions to help aid the growing football market in the US and complement the current youth football structure.
In addition to world-class football training, players will be introduced to core life skills inspired by the four values of 'The Liverpool Way': ambition, commitment, dignity and unity.
Coach education will also be an important element, with local coaches benefitting from a comprehensive education pathway, including LFC International Academy's global accreditation scheme.
The launch of LFC International Academy in Arizona and Nevada marks another milestone in the club's expanding presence in the US, a key pillar of LFC's international growth strategy.
With more than 24 million supporters nationwide – including 3.1 million in the Southwest and 67 Official Liverpool Supporters Clubs across the country – the US remains one of the club's most engaged and passionate fanbases.
Ian Rush, Reds legend and LFC International Academy ambassador, said: "We're thrilled to expand our portfolio of LFC International Academies in the US, a region where football is growing at an incredible pace.
"The expert coaching delivered through our programmes will offer young players in Arizona and Nevada a fantastic opportunity to elevate their game. They'll not only develop their technical skills across all areas of football but also gain important life skills like confidence and working as part of a team – all part of what makes learning to play 'The Liverpool Way' so special."
Albert Aguilar, COO and club president of the LFC International Academies in Arizona and Nevada, said: "We are beyond excited to bring the Liverpool FC International Academy to the west side of the country.
"We know that with the Liverpool FC curriculum we will be able to positively impact hundreds of players and student-athletes that aspire to get to the next level."
