Round-upInternationals: Goals for Clark and Woodham as six Reds feature
Six Liverpool FC Women players were involved in Tuesday’s round of international fixtures – and two scored.
Lily Woodham marked her 50th appearance for Wales with a goal as her country hosted Czechia in Women’s World Cup qualifying.
The full-back was on target with an equaliser in the ninth minute, clipping a low, first-time effort across the goalkeeper.
Ceri Holland then set up two goals – the first with a free-kick delivery and the second after a driving run and cross – to help Wales secure a 3-1 victory in Cardiff.
Elsewhere, Reds defender Jenna Clark was on the scoresheet for Scotland in a 5-1 win against Israel, converting a header from close range.
Clark and her Liverpool teammate and compatriot Kirsty Maclean both featured for the whole of the tie, which was played in Budapest.
