Ian Rush will serve a managerial role for Liverpool FC Legends in next weekend's charity match against Barça Legends.

The Reds ambassador and all-time leading goalscorer is set to be in the dugout for the LFC Foundation game at Anfield on Saturday March 26.

A team of greats from club history, including the likes of Daniel Agger, Jamie Carragher, Luis Garcia, Dirk Kuyt, Steve McManaman and Maxi Rodriguez, will return to the stadium for a special event that raises vital funds.

Rush will help to lead the LFC Legends alongside Sir Kenny Dalglish as they tackle a stellar line-up from Barcelona, featuring Edmilson, Gaizka Mendieta, Javier Saviola and more.

Presented by AXA, the charity match – which kicks off at 3pm GMT – will help to raise funds for a variety of LFC Foundation projects, including its employability and training and health and wellbeing programmes.

Proceeds raised from the occasion will also help LFC Foundation’s charity partners, with The Owen McVeigh Foundation and Right to Play both receiving donations to support their incredible work.

Forever Reds, the club’s official former players association, and Barcelona’s official charity, the Barça Foundation, will also receive a proportion of the proceeds.

A limited number of tickets are still available for the match and are priced at £27 for adults, £7 for juniors and £17 for over 65s. For more information, please visit www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/tickets-availability.

Fans can also watch the game on Facebook Live for £1.99. More details on how to purchase a virtual ticket to watch your favourite legends are available here.
