NewsFederico Chiesa withdraws from Italy squad
Federico Chiesa has withdrawn from the Italy squad for their two upcoming fixtures.
The Liverpool forward had been recalled by the Azzurri for Thursday’s World Cup play-off semi-final against Northern Ireland, plus either the play-off final or a friendly on March 31.
But the Italy national team announced on Monday that he will not be available.
A statement read: “Federico Chiesa, whose condition was assessed upon arrival at the Federal Technical Centre, was deemed unavailable for the next two matches and, in agreement with the club, left the national team’s training camp.”
