LFC WomenFamily entertainment guaranteed when Reds pick up title
‘Get there early’ is the advice for supporters heading to Prenton Park on Sunday when Liverpool FC Women will lift the league title in front of their home fans.
The Reds take on Sheffield United in a 12pm BST kick-off and will receive the FA Women’s Championship trophy following the game.
Fans are encouraged to get to Prenton Park in good time as lots of free activities will be taking place in the free fan park outside the ground – including soccer cages, a penalty shootout cage, a speed cage, face painter and, of course, Mighty Red will be attending to meet all the youngsters.
A retail pod will also be in place at the family fun park, where fans can buy lots of ‘Champions’ merchandise celebrating the title win.
The Fans Supporting Foodtruck van will also be attending on Sunday from 10.30am, allowing supporters, players, staff and team officials to donate food to help tackle food poverty on Merseyside.
Donations of the following are particular needed, alongside toiletries:
- Long-life fruit juices
- Coffee jars
- Long-life milk
- Tinned fruits
- Cooking sauces (pasta/curry)
- Tinned potatoes
- Tinned meats
- Tinned soups
Come and enjoy what should be a special day for LFC Women, with entry to the stadium open from 11am.
The Reds are looking to extend an unbeaten run of 19 games that has swept them to the title with two games to spare.
The players will be meeting and greeting supporters after the game.
This is also a ‘Kids for a Quid’ fixture, with all young people paying just £1 for entry on Sunday.
