Dominik Szoboszlai will not draw any satisfaction from his personal performances until Liverpool reach their own collective highest levels.

The No.8's third season with the Reds has seen him claim the Standard Chartered Player of the Month prize in August, October and November.

From 26 appearances across all competitions, Szoboszlai has provided five goals and five assists amid a series of applaudable individual displays.

However, with the team not consistently finding their finest form this term, his focus is wholly on ensuring wins are registered on a more regular basis.

Arne Slot's side head to Arsenal this evening in the top flight on the back of nine games without defeat.

Szoboszlai was on pre-match media duties before the trip to Emirates Stadium - read a summary of his comments below.

On his personal form this season...

I feel like I am at my peak in my career, I would say: working hard day by day, game by game. Just trying to help the team, give my best and enjoy playing football.

On if it's the 'best time of his Liverpool career so far'...

Well, no. Because the team is not doing as well as I would like it to, so I cannot enjoy it as much as I would enjoy it if we would also win the games and be in the same position like, for example, last season. But that's the aim. That's what we are aiming for.

On if he feels like a leader within the squad...

To say it is hard, but I always try to show it on the pitch with my performances. And also off the pitch, I try to help everybody, try to be there. I'm speaking on the pitch, I would say.

On whether he would like to captain the Reds one day in the future...

I can imagine [it], yes. I would love to. Of course, it's an honour to be a captain of Liverpool FC. I think everybody would love to be. Yeah of course, if there is a time, I would love to, yeah.

On Liverpool's targets for the remainder of the season...

To look game by game and start to win games, because that's the first step to success. Then let's see what the future brings. We have a lot of goals as a team and that's [what] we would like to achieve.

On his winner from a free-kick in the Anfield meeting with Arsenal earlier in the season...

Of course I remember. [But] this is the past, I'm thinking of the future. You cannot live from the past. This happened I don't know how many games [ago]. I hope another chance is coming and I can do it again.

On having belief Liverpool can go to the Emirates and win...

That I know we did it already [this season against Arsenal], first of all. Second of all, we have the quality in the team. And we have a badge that shows we are able to do everything.
