ClubBBC's Leanne Campbell announced as 2026 Run to Anfield host
BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Leanne Campbell will host this year’s Run to Anfield, joining participants for a memorable day raising vital funds for the club’s official charity, LFC Foundation.
Registrations for Run to Anfield are open now, with supporters invited to join Leanne on Saturday August 1 for either the 5k route or the 1k fun run.
A familiar voice across the city for more than two decades, Leanne has built a strong rapport with communities across Liverpool through her broadcasting career and longstanding support of local charities and community initiatives.
Runners of all ages and abilities took part last year, crossing the finish line at Anfield before heading into the stadium bowl to mark their achievement pitchside.
Leanne said: “I can’t wait to host Run to Anfield – it's one of those days that brings the city together, for an incredible cause.
“Every single sign up will make a difference to the incredible work LFC Foundation does in our communities. So, get your name on the list, tell all your friends, and I’ll see you on the day – cheering you on!”
LFC Foundation supports more than 145,000 people a season, including thousands living in some of the UK’s most deprived communities; highlighting the scale and impact of its work locally and beyond.
Sign up here to take part with friends, family, fellow supporters and the local community.
