Liverpool FC's official travel partner Expedia will be continuing its free fan travel scheme to Barclays Women's Super League matches for a fourth consecutive season.
Expedia introduced this initiative ahead of the 2022-23 season to support fan travel to away games and boost attendances. It's a project that also aligns with and plays an important part in LFC's leading sustainability programme The Red Way by lowering the emissions of fan travel.
It began with Expedia funding one coach to take LFC Women supporters to 10 away WSL fixtures that season. The bus racked up 3,225 miles of travel, which avoided an estimated 240 car journeys, saving 21 tCO2e of emissions over the season.
Fast forward to last season, the partnership went even further, increasing to two LFC-and-Expedia-branded supporter coaches providing free travel from the Wirral and Liverpool city centre to every WSL fixture at St Helens Stadium, Anfield and all away grounds.
It's estimated this avoided 1,296 car journeys, saving around 220 tCO2e of emissions over the season - 10 times the saving compared to year one of the project.
It will continue in 2025-26 for supporters with a match ticket to get to and from all home and away fixtures across the WSL season - again with pick-up points in the Wirral and Liverpool city centre.
This season's WSL fixtures were released earlier on Friday, and the Reds will start the campaign on September 7 at Anfield with a Merseyside derby against Everton. The full fixture list can be found here.

Fans must have a valid match ticket to book this free initiative, and you can secure your tickets and coach travel for LFC Women's matches here.
Bookings will be on a first come, first serve basis. The coach will be available to book for every home and away match in the WSL two weeks in advance of the fixture date.
