Anfield reached another new record league attendance in Liverpool FC history when the Reds hosted Brighton & Hove Albion today.

A crowd of 60,061 was present for the Premier League clash, improving upon the previous figure of 59,947 set at the home match versus Manchester City earlier this month.

The expansion of the Anfield Road Stand has seen new record league attendances achieved on multiple occasions during the current season.

The previous highest number had stood since 1949, when Liverpool hosted Chelsea in front of 58,757 supporters.

The all-time Anfield record attendance is 61,905, recorded at the FA Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers back in 1952.
