Liverpool are poised to offer £4million for Leicester City left back Ben Chilwell later this week.

The 19-year-old was injured playing for England U21s in the Toulon tournament on Wednesday night but has continually impressed.

Leicester rejected a £5m bid from Arsenal in January and Liverpool may improve their offer if the initial one is rejected.

Chilwell has one year left on his contract with the Foxes, who claimed a surprise Premier League title in 2015-16.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also asked to be kept informed as they keep an eye on the teenager.

Chilwell has made three appearances for Leicester and spent a period on loan at Huddersfield last term.
